Summary
Omya Kinetik Technologies is a leading distributor of raw materials for the personal care and cosmetic industry across the United States. This position provides support to and is based at our New Jersey office. The Technical Services Representative is an organized, quality focused professional who will work with customers, suppliers and internal staff to ensure documentation integrity and develop systems to organize information as well as assisting with sales lead generation through customer contacts.
They will work closely with outside suppliers, Research and Development and Sales to receive and respond to requests for documents for Regulatory and customer requirements. The Technical Services Representative will also be responsible for the company’s internal document control policies and practices.
Job Description
- Responsible for requesting, reviewing, creating and storing documents pertaining to the company, our suppliers and products to meet internal requirements, customer requests and Regulatory guidelines.
- Obtains and maintains up-to-date Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Certificates of Analysis (COA) from Omya Kinetik suppliers for use by Omya Kinetik sales team.
- Develops potential sales opportunities through customer contact, generating leads and identifying potential accounts and coordinating with Sales team.
- Coordinates products and prototype development for Sales staff.
- Acts as point of contact for retrieval of specific documentation as required.
- Completes technical questionnaires from customers regarding products in a timely manner.
- Keeps up-to-date with the regulatory requirements around documentation and notifies management of new requirements/impending changes.
- Maintains and updates a robust file sharing system housing all necessary documents.
- Works closely with Sales Support and Customer Service to effectively respond to customer inquiries.
- Oversees adherence to office policies and procedures.
